Solomon was a king of Israel (mentioned, above all, in the Book of Kings), son of David with Bathsheba, who would have become the third king of Israel, ruling for about forty years (according to some biblical chronologies, from 966 to 926 BC). Solomon is also the writer of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, wisdom books of the Bible.
It was who, according to the Bible (in Kings and Chronicles), ordered the construction of the Temple of Jerusalem, in its 4th year, also known as the Temple of Solomon. After that, he ordered the construction of a new Royal Palace for the High Priest, the Palace of the Daughter of Pharaoh, the Cedar House of Lebanon and the Portico of the Columns. The description of his throne was unique in his day. He had strong walls built in the city of Jerusalem, as well as several fortified cities and watchtowers.
